Please never remove the screw from your board. Some may remember this practice from earlier surfboards. The screw was removed to equalize pressure during longer flights to vacation destinations, as excessive pressure could lead to cracks in the coating. However, this is no longer necessary with the new boards.

The screw automatically regulates the pressure in the board on its own.
